We’re all friends here, so that’s why it’s ok for me to make a confession.
I really don’t like The Beatles. I find Wings more tolerable, actually. The only thing worthwhile to evolve from The Beatles isn’t even musical, its fashion related.
Sir Paul McCartney created a fashion genius in Stella McCartney. Her genius is evident to boutiques and brands alike. Adidas commissioned Stella to design a line for Yoga, running and my favorite, tennis. Unfortunately the tennis dress I yearn for is not available in the United States so I guess I will have to wait for when I make my big move to Europe (do you hear that too, someone’s telling me to wake up).
But what is available from Stella in the United States is better than a
tennis dress it’s her other collaboration! Stella McCartney for
LeSportSac
! Sister boutiques Dressed and Ready adjacent to each other in the
Montecito section of Santa Barbara have something better than tennis
dresses and yoga mats, they have Stella McCartney bags!
Though Stella McCartney is the search that initially drew me to Dressed
and Ready, there is so much more to delve into besides designer
LeSportSac. Herve Leger, Pierre Hardy, Lanvin and Pucci are a few
designers that Dressed carries, while next door Ready houses fashions
from Alexander Wang, Rag & Bone, and Kooba Clothing (like that cute
little pink dress!)
. Owner Susan Pitcher keeps an eclectic array of designers in order to
“enourage the mix master in all of us.” Pitcher’s boutiques send out a
New York vibe, garnished with SoCal sophistication.
And since we're all friends here, You Can’t Buy Me Love there, but you can buy me everything else in Dressed and Ready!
