Something happened a few days ago that I never thought would happen. I actually watched the inauguration of our new President, and I felt happy for him. Happy for the new changes being made slowly inour nation, breaking race barriers, peace amongst feuding neighbors, and feelings of well wishes to all nearby! This may have only been the case on Tuesday, but I am still overwhelmed with joy and positive energy towards this man, hailed as the President of the United States of America. I who supported him throughout his entire candidacy, want to continue and support him even after the tabloid's stop running the "who designed Michelle's outfit" pictures.
So I am going to do what I do best, and support him in the best way I can- through FASHION!
Inaugural Collectibles have been selling Obama merch since his announcement of candidacy, but only until recently have big name designers like Diane Von Furstenburg, and Alexander Wang designed Obama products to put on this website. Other designers include Zac Posen, Dereon (by Beyonce), Tory Burch, Narciso Rodriguez, Derek Lam, and Rachel Roy to name a few. My absolute favorite is the weathered tee shirt by Zac Posen, with it's simple design, a touch of elegance and it's important message . Or this great tote by Tory Burch, I love how Tory managed to splash her logo everywhere.
The best part about this site, is that the products are by high end designers but are priced at a reasonably decent price.

Funny enough, I was sent some "Obama" clothing before the election. Somehow I was on a marketing list for www.cafepress.com . They sent me a child's bib, a t-shit and, the best: a pair of thong underwear that had a little picture of Obama with a line:
"Ohhhhhh-bammmmaaaah!"
Since I feel a bit funny about wearing Mr President on my thong, I gave them to my friend, Sheila who loves them!!!
